Yes, the Y's have it. I may be outnumbered, but I love my guys (I also love chocolate, gluing my fingers together, trying to be Supermom, and sleeping in on Saturdays). Together the 5 of us are Learning and Yearning ... to do the right thing by God, our fellow man, and by each other.

I tend to call them "aaahhhh!!" That is the noise I make when I see one on my bedroom wall, ceiling, or **ick** bed. I also liken them to "Buffy-the-Vampire Slayer-Vampires" as they appear to disentegrate into dust-like particles when slain. I hate them, whatever their scientific name is.
They are House Centipedes. Bugs don't tend to bother me but I scream very loudly when I see those!!! UGHHH makes my skin crawl.
Thanks for the help, Malia's-sister-Emily & Kim!! I am very sad for Emily that she gets them in her bed. I've never seen one there. Mostly in the basement, but sometimes in the bathtub (ick), & occasionally in another room. Now that I know what they are, I can properly banish them from the house like the bloodsucking vampires they are.
Nasty, that's what. In spite of the fact that they don't bite (I don't think), they are just UGHHH, I agree!
I think these many legged things are called Silverfish...at least that's what I said when I first saw it. I have not seen any of these in our dumpy rental yet, but that doesn't mean I won't sometime in the future. Right now I see mostly ladybugs, ants and spiders. Yay. Why can't these bugs get their own houses instead of terrorizing everyone elses!!! Ugh!
Ok I looked it up on google (and I didn't like looking at all of those bugs) It is a centipede. It actually is amazing how many there are. Go to images on google and get grossed out. I was thrilled to see Terri had a blog. I tried to message her but she does not have the other thing. Take care Love Aunt Dawn
I don't know what it is, but we have them here in Alexandria. I call them, "I squashed it with a shoe!"
